Cast Upper Carriage Wheel
This view shows all of the carriage wheel details and also provides a glimpse at the eccentric axle hardware including the key in a rectangular keyway in the axle just outside of the wheel hub washer. The wheel is a running fit with the axle. The wheel only turns when the eccentric is thrown and the weight of the carriage is on those wheels and they are in contact with the I-beam rails.
