August 2006 Heavy Loads More Accurate!
After three months of accuracy testing of the company`s unblued 100 Pdr. Parrott Rifle, we found in August of 2006 that heavier loads were more accurate. The 9 score marks on the skirt were much deeper indicating a more positive bullet engagement of the rifling. Groups went from the 9 to 12 inch range to the 3 to 5 inch range. You can see all the weight that we added to our 60 pound bench. With 350 to 400 grains of powder we noticed the front of the bench lifting up a good three inches off the ground. 90 lbs. of barbell weights fixed that!
