5.5 oz., `Navy Theory` Bolt
This light weight bolt did not completely hole the 3/4 inch boiler plate, but it deformed in an interesting way which is very visible here. After whacking the plate, we found it to be 3/8 inch shorter! The relieved area in the center section of this bolt also displays considerable swelling. Attaining higher pressures with the 550 grain load, you can see that the rifling definitely engaged this bolt and the skirt also lost a small piece as it exited the cannon`s muzzle.
